Opportunity, the Animatronic Eagle

Opportunity the eagle was a group endeavor to create a lifelike animatronic to capture people’s attention and inspire prospective and incoming students.

This endeavor involved three teams working in parallel to complete the final product in the class' 6 month time frame. I oversaw the electrical and programming teams to manage the power, microcontroller, and programming needs. I performed all of the programming for the developed routines and directed the teams’ research into interfacing various subsystems. This project allowed me to further develop my leadership, microcontroller programming, memory management, lookup table implementation, UART communication, and breadboarding skills.
